Hey look, it's a power/torque curve for the CR-Z!

Apparently there are roughly 23 volumes of CR-Z documents and they are sprayed all over the web, thinly veiled with Japanese URLs. I just got another batch of e-mails from 'hnsxr', and contained within were another dozen or so images. Considering the late hour in my time zone, I figured this one would be of the greatest interest, at least until I have time to get the rest posted.

Update from Daniel Garcia-Rodriguez, who visited a dealer in Japan and saw these documents:
Other things I could tell from the long time I spent carefully watching this booklet.

1) The CR-Z gives away VCM operation (no complex VTEC system like in the Civic Hybrid here) and low speed cruise electric only mode.

2) Aero performance is supposed to be on pair with the Insight, with a worse Cd but smaller size (size is quoted as similar to the mini-cooper but with much better Cd).

3) Cars frequently mentioned on the booklet are Insight, Prius, Civic Hybrid, and Mini Cooper (120PS version). Compared to the later the CR-Z boosts FE (from 16-> 23 in MT, and 14 -> 25 for auto), and offers a larger trunk (I would have never thought the Cooper had such a useless one...).

4) Price positioning for the CR-Z is supposed to be in line with the Civic Hybrid, and slightly over the Insight. Cheapest model is 2.2M JPY, most expensive is 3.0M JPY (both in CVT and 6MT trim).

5) The rear bench can accommodate child-seats of several types, which are fit in the safest position (looking backwards)

6) There was an interesting graphic showing the trend on car occupation in Japan, and how more and more cars (well over half of them) were mostly used for 1 or 2 persons alone.

also

Sport mode :
* quickens the steering ratio
* changes the DBW response to a more aggressive one
* adds some revs to the CVT models
* gets a more aggressive "motor assist" config (which means you'll also run out of juice easier)

Normal mode : offers a compromise between eco and performance modes.

Eco mode : goes the opposite way to Sport mode on everything but the steering ratio, which remains similar to normal mode.
