Hey Jeff, can you speak to the 5hp difference between the current ILX and TLX? If I remember correctly, it had something to do with slightly smaller diameter exhaust piping on the ILX. Is that correct?

I'd rather see a TSX 4cyl com back. The TLX is so overweight and bloated and the ILX is so cheap feeling. The TSX was really a great car... But it what happens when people with a business degree run a car company. :(

This doesn't really answer my question ;)

Offten wonder this myself, same with the v6 rdx @279hp with premium fuel vs 278hp with regular in the 9th gen accord.

The answer is and always has been:

Same reason why the RLX's J35 gets 310hp, while the MDX/TLX are cock-blocked @ a measly 290hp.

I think the first gen TSX was a great driver's car... its main issue being a tight foot entry into the back seat. By all respects, the ILX is a successor to it. We'll see how the next gen ILX does it.

The second gen TSX gained some badly needed space for the backseat, but other than the Sport Wagon Tech (*), it just didn't float my particular boat. It got too soft.

The TLX has the back seat room and the trunk. I don't much care for the base FWD versions, but the V6 SH-AWD (**) is an excellent platform.

(*) Now, that's a car I'd like to see coming back, with a 2.0T and SH-AWD.

(**) Nonewithstanding that doggone 9AT. That needs to go.

Well, a car company is a business...so a "business degree" is not necessarily a bad thing.

I grant you, I don't understand the TL + TSX = TLX thing.

Moral is that any person from any discipline can do confounding things.
