Honda made a great DCT but the applications are so limited. Are there plans for more applications? One that can handle more power/tq?

I think it should be able to handle the 1.5T in stock Si tune but that may be about it. I feel like I heard a number for its torque capacity at one point years ago but I don't remember what that number was. As I recall, it was only designed for a maximum torque output in the "2.4L" class.

The CDX uses the 8DCT/1.5t combo.

From what I remember reading when it was introduced, it could only handle about 199 lb-ft of torque. The current version would have to be reworked or maybe a version of the NSX 9DCT could be implemented. For now, it may be safe to assume that any "new" models after the 2019MY will move to the Acura 10AT.
