I enjoyed seeing the note on the the ILX as it's seller better than expected with the tweaks they made to the 2019 model. I had faith in the smallest Acura and felt like it was being neglected. It goes to show that if the brand puts forth some effort in styling and making the car feel more premium it'll pay off. This gives the fans of the ILX faith that the next generation model will be far more competitive in the subcompact class.

Seeing the TLX outsell the 3-series and A4 put the biggest smile on my face. Even in this model's last run before the new one is introduced shows the brand is moving in the right direction and proves that sedans done right can sell. If Acura's next gen TLX puts on the same show as the RDX, we are about to see a resurgence of what Acura did with the Legend and Integra. Great job and looking forward to what comes next for the brand!!

Now imagine if that nice looking ILX had the interior from the RDX. They'd own the segment.

Don't read too much into the TLX number. It's still down 22% and the 3 series stopped production last fall to make way for the new one which is due in showrooms within a month.

+1 gofast on both points. It would have been nice to see the ILX get a full makeover sooner to up its game and bring it up to par with other subcompact models. As for the TLX, it's just nice to hear that it outsold the Germans on any level.

So...it outsold the Germans because Audi is in the middle of getting bitch slapped for lying about emissions and BMW stopped production...Right. Oh yeah, don't forget the pretty hot lease deals.

P.S. I hope they would be able to outsell a car that was no longer being produced...
