The hotteR Honda Civic is on its way!
We spied the hot Civic Type R testing in southern Europe and it’s not just the weather that is hot there.
The new Honda Civic has been introduced for the 2022 model year but the Type R is still hiding under camouflage.
Just like the last generation the Type R is based on the hatchback body , or should we say the fastback body. The hatch has actually transformed to a more fastback look if you ask me.
And with the new generation Civic having a more stiff body and chassis the improvement on the handling will most likely be noticeable.
Of course we can see the overall sportier look with a lower suspension, bigger wheels, brakes from Brembo as well as the body kit. The rear wing looks slightly smaller but it also looks like its adjustable. At the back we can also see the three exhaust pipes that are some kind of signum for the Type R.
Power will most likely come from a 2.0 liter turbo charged inline 4 delivering some 320-340 hp connected to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Expect a debut in 2022. |
