HondaPro Jason hit the ground in LA over the weekend where an area dealer already received a 2023 HRV EX-L. Today he has shared the following photos and information with the TOV.
The 2023 HR-V EX-L AWD stickers at $28,950 + $1,245 destination.
This particular model was equipped with the premium Platinum White Pearl paint option at $395, so the final total with destination rings in at $30,950. For reference, the 2022 HR-V EX-L AWD started at $28,170.
As we expected, the engine is confirmed to be a new variant of the K-series family of 4-cylinder engines, this one is stamped with the K20Z5 label. We should know more about this engine shortly. The EPA estimates on the window sticker show 25mpg city, 30hwy, with 27mpg combined.
The new HR-V offers 3 drive modes - Normal, Eco, and Snow. It also offers a hill descent control option which is said to be available between speeds ranging from 2-12mph – presumably it automatically applies the brakes to keep the speeds in check but again, we will know more about this in the coming weeks.
The dash has a physical speedometer dial and the left half is LCD, similar to the 10th generation Accord configuration.
The rear seat has no AC vents or USB ports for rear passengers.
NOTE: We've been informed that the embargo will lift tomorrow morning (but we don't have any advance materials at this point) and the on sale date will also be tomorrow (June 7th).
