SpiedBilde has come through with one of our earliest looks at the upcoming 11th generation Accord sedan. This is what they had to say about it.
Today we caught our first look at the 2024 Honda Accord while testing in the Midwest.
The Accord has typically lived out a five-year lifecycle, but due to the dramatically shrinking demand for sedans the current Accord is expected to live slightly longer (six years instead of the usual five).
Looking at the prototype, we can see that the silhouette remains the same, but that’s about it. The front end gets completely reworked from the a-pillar forward (headlamps, hood, front clip, etc.), while the rear gets all-new looks from the revised c-pillar back.
Power is still expected to come from a four-cylinder powertrain lineup consisting of a 1.5L turbo, 2.0L turbo, and a Hybrid (2.0-liter two-motor hybrid). The 1.5L turbo and 2.0L turbo are expected to carry over the 10-speed automatic.
Honda has confirmed that an all-new Accord Hybrid will launch after the next-gen CR-V Hybrid, which is set to debut in the coming months as a 2023 model. As such, the next-gen Accord is expected to launch in early 2023, while carrying a 2024 model year designation. |
