Yesterday it was a first look at the 2024 Accord. Today we bring you spy photos of the 2023 Honda Pilot, again supplied by our friends at SpiedBilde #spyphotoszn
Today we caught the very first shots of the 2023 (4th generation) Honda Pilot (not a mule) while testing in the Midwest.
The next-gen Pilot looks to carry more of a truck-like persona with a blockier front end that seems to channel the Ridgeline's latest mid-cycle styling. Up front, we can see a completely new look from the a-pillar forward, with a more aggressive front fascia, grille, LED headlights, and fog lights. Around back, the tail lights will crib the 2024 Accord, along with a completely revised tailgate and lower rear fascia. The silhouette appears to remain virtually unchanged though.
The 4th gen Pilot is expected to utilize Honda/Acura's new global light truck platform that debuted under the 2022 Acura MDX.
Power should still come from the 3.5L V6, but the nine-speed automatic will be swapped out for the ten-speed automatic from the 2022 MDX. A plug-in hybrid option should also make its way to the Pilot and is expected to be shared with the Odyssey. This system will be a version of the two-motor hybrid powertrain currently used in the Accord Hybrid.
Expect to see an official debut by the end of 2022. |
