'06 Civic Si Rear Suspension

Strangely, though we've seen dozens if not hundreds of different photographs of the same yellow Civic Type R Concept, until now not a single one of them provided even a glimpse of the rear suspension. Fortunately one of our European readers, 94sir was kind enough to try to snap a few shots of the rear suspension. Unfortunately the car was surrounded by a perspex shield which made getting clean shots very difficult for '94sir'. Regardless, we appreciate his efforts and thank him for sharing the photos with the TOV.

While these pics show that the concept car definitely doesn't have a torsion beam rear setup, it has something that looks unique from anything we've seen on any current or past Civics. From what we can make out in the photos that were submitted, it appears to be a mockup rather than actual running gear. For reference, we're including a photo of the '06 Civic Si's rear suspension.
