Unlike the included instructions, I recommend that you put the bar together before mounting it to the car. As shown in the picture above, I first placed anti-seize compound on the splines to prevent rust and allow easy insertion.


You then slide the lever arms onto the end of the bar. The anti-seize compound should make this very easy. Don't slide it in too far though. See that smooth circumferential groove? The long bolt will need to slide over this to clamp the blade in place. Do that now.


The bolt will go through the lever arm as shown.


Do the same to the other side as shown and be sure rotate the lever arm to get the correct spline groove to make both lever arms even.


My particular bar had some manufacturing tolerances apparent and so it was not perfectly even. The "higher" lever arm is on the driver's side and I have not confirmed with Bill Gendron whether this is on purpose to better balance the car with only the driver in place.


Here's a close up of the difference. (The ground is flat where I placed the bar.)
